My Last Day As A Member

Yesterday was officially my last day as a Member of Pixie Hollow…

We all knew this day was coming, but the last month really flew by for me since I was sick on and off for 3 weeks straight, and I was usually outside when I was wasn’t inside lying down or going through every tissue box in sight  😛

Even though I was saving my diamonds these last 3 months, I didn’t have a ton of them by the end, but I decided to use 22 to upgrade Rosejewel from a Member-only Friend to Diamond Friend so I could keep her:

I thought about releasing little Rosie, but she’s still not full-grown (she’s just a kiddie) and I burst into tears thinking about how lonely I’d be without her, so I had to keep her. I checked how much it would cost to upgrade her a month ago, and it was 30 diamonds! I’m so happy the price went down by 8 diamonds  😀

I spent a good majority of yesterday figuring out what clothes I wanted to keep that won’t be available after my Membership expired. I had read that whatever clothes I was wearing when my Membership ended will remain on me, and I’ll be able to wear them as a non-Member. But, do you know how difficult is is to choose only one item from each category?!? The top, skirt, and shoes were the hardest to choose since I had quite a collection  😉

However, when I logged in this morning, I was shocked and horrified to see the clothes I had so carefully chosen were not the clothes I was wearing!  :O  The Never Council must have fixed that wonderful little glitch, because I am literally only able to wear the New Arrival clothes and clothes that are diamond level (meaning all players can wear them). I did get a little teary-eyed, but what can I do??? At least everything I bought and tailored is still in my inventory, it’s just unavailable. *sigh*

Had I known I couldn’t really keep any of the Member clothes, I would have spent more time finishing quests and playing talent games to level up. I also would have dyed some of the diamond clothes so I wouldn’t have to use diamonds to dye them later. Oh, well. Not much I can do about it now. At least my hairstyle stayed the same…

My house and garden are also very bare now. I expected all the items that I had won at Vidia’s Spin and prizes for completing quests to disappear, so that wasn’t a shock like the clothes. I did, however, get to keep the plush baby animals that I got as a gift in the Ballroom. That was a nice surprise  🙂

Having a Membership was very nice while it lasted, and I would recommend it to anyone considering it. Even if you can’t afford to be a Member all the time, just getting the experience is a fun adventure. You could always ask for a 1-Month or 3-Month Membership card for your birthday or Christmas so your parents don’t have to use their credit card.

Questions? Suggestions? Leave me a comment  🙂

Hi, Emily! As a non-Member, you can use your ingredients to help feed and heal your Animal Friend (if you have one). Otherwise, you sometimes need ingredients to complete quests from the mentor fairies when quests are available to all fairies.

I didn’t have a membership for a very long time. And I am an adult with kids of my own, its totally worth it. its only $60 a year or $5 a month. who doesn’t have that! work for it, ask your parents if they can pay for it, if you do extra chores. offer to wash your moms’ car. once a week. As a parent, my daughter washes my car every week for her own pixie account. She does little chores for her grandparents and earns membership cards or $$ for her pay pal account so that she can buy diamonds as she pleases. its worth it to try. talk to your parents and see if they are willing to work with you provided you are doing what you are supposed to in school and other activities. the worst they can say is no, but you wont know until you try, washing the car once a week and doing the dishes everyday was a seller for me!! $5 a month is less than a weekly allowance!

I’m so sorry! That’s one reason I deeply considered NOT getting a membership. Pixie Hollow, and Disney in general are just way too money hungry. It’s ridiculous. I’d much rather be a character on BuildaBearville, where you can get clothes and play many games (except the zoo, which is the only thing) without being a member. Though, to have a house, you need an animal from them, but that’s just a one time payment, and “you’re in”. I’m about to end my membership. It’s sad, yes, but really, the money can be used for far better things. I can tell you, after this experience, I WON’T be likely to support Disney very much at all. They’re kids on here, and they don’t necessarily understand when membership is cancelled, and they can’t access their clothes, house, and pet. It’s just wrong.

But I want to thank you for your post! It was very helpful in my decision, so thank you!
